My Students

There are a total of four hundred and seventy students in the school and the library is the place they learn to love reading. Nearly all of our students are from low income households. Snacks and rewards are important to get them motivated about reading. I allow the students to earn incentives which makes it more meaningful for them. My students work hard to earn reading rewards. Learning to love reading can truly make a difference in all students' lives.

My Project

Help me give my students a fun incentive for reading that they will love!

I am the school librarian and media specialist.

I am trying to help all of the students in the school learn to love reading and meet their reading goals for the year.

There is a total of four hundred and seventy students in the school and the library is the place they learn to love reading.

Nearly all of our students are from low income households. Reading reward incentives are important to get them motivated about reading. I allow the students to vote on incentives to make it more meaningful for them. My students work hard to earn reading rewards. Learning to love reading can truly make a difference in students' lives.

My goal as a school librarian is to make reading exciting for my students and help instill a lifelong love of reading. Our students participate in the Accelerated Reader program. We offer incentives for the students who meet their goals.

One of those incentives is a lego building session.

We will offer this incentive often, so I would love to have a large variety of legos on hand. My goal is to get my students excited about reading. I offer rewards and incentives for reading to all of the students in the school that meet their set reading goals. This session will be a needed brain break for students to have fun with their peers.
