My Project
Our kids are wonderful students who deserve to work in silence. They use a program on the computer for part of the class time and then work with me the rest of the class time. When they are on the computer, they need to just hear the computer, not the other students. So they need the headphones to keep the noise from the group workers out. The program they use allows them to level up and with each level up, I'd like to reward them with stickers and candy.
Students need to be motivated to do their best work.
In order to get them to feel like they are working for something, the stickers and candy will motivate them to do their best.
It's hard to see middle school students who are not on grade level and they are often embarrassed about it. So, I have found it is best to motivate them to get them going in the right direction.
