My Project
My students are ESL students. They need assistance with learning vocabulary and learning the fundamentals of reading. Many of them have never gone to school before arriving in the United States. They work hard, and are making great progress; my students are motivated.
Reading is the key to learning.
My students need more opportunities to practice reading skills and understanding what they are reading. My youngest students are learning to sound out words and to connect them with concepts. Some of my older students have reading skills in their home language but some do not. I am trying to get resources various games and puzzles that will work for all of my students, on different levels.
