Reading Resources to Reduce the Effects That COVID Created

Help me give my students the resources they need in order to fill the holes in their phonics and reading that were created from the pandemic. This includes Phonics Magnetic Word Building Boards, a literature organizer, Word Building Tiles, and other items.

My Students

I get the incredible opportunity to work with students from every grade in my school. They come to my classroom every day to receive reading interventions.

These kids are resilient with all of the challenges that COVID brought, but are still far behind in reading.

They come to class with a happy, energetic and optimistic attitude ready to work hard! Even though my class is challenging they work hard and are making immense progress!

My Project

The pandemic has brought a lot of different outcomes, but the worst by far is the fact that so many students dipped well below grade level in reading. With the resources that I am requesting I will be able to build a library of resources to use with my students to help bring them up to grade level. I don't have the resources that I need to help each of these students become successful readers.

The students that I work with need these phonemic awareness, phonics and comprehension resources to bring their reading ability from well below grade level to a place where they can succeed in reading.
