Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are survivors. They come to school hungry, tired and some of my students are homeless.These books will help them escape their own reality and go on a journey with these characters. Reading is engaging and fun. The rug will give the students a soft space to sit .
My goal is to conduct a read aloud everyday for twenty minutes and have open discussions about the book.My students are special because they come to school everyday to learn despite their own circumstances.
