Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students from urban Los Angeles are typical kids who love learning and having fun! They miss being at school physically with their friends and teachers, but they still come onto zoom every morning ready to learn! You can hear their laughter and the mix of English and Spanish through our zoom calls! They are excited to use the new student devices they recently got to learn from home. These kids enjoy reading comics, doodling, playing video games with each other during lunch, making videos of themselves, and just simply being with their friends!
My Project
I'm requesting foundational reading skills activities such as Cloze Activities, Fluency Rings, Phonics Decodables, and Comprehension Activities purchasable with a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. I download these activities onto student ipads for use. I have four varied groups in the classroom, and each group has different activities on their iPads based on their academic need. Students can access these activities at home to complete or review work using their iPad.
Your donation will go towards a $100 gift card from Teachers Pay Teachers.
I will purchase activities that help my students to become confident readers and writers. Students will be able to access the activities in English and Spanish at their level.
