My Project
I work with students from Pre-K to second grade. These Educational Kits will help ALL of my students become more proficient readers. Play-Doh, Magnetic Wands, Kinetic Sand, and a telephone will all benefit my students' learning.
Children tend to learn better with a multisensory approach.
They love to be able to touch and see what they are doing! When you watch a student using hands-on materials to learn to read their face glows.
I plan on using these materials with my students in group work. They will be given specific instructions and be able to use their senses to figure it out. Collaboration and a multisensory approach will improve student engagement and achievement!
Not all students learn the same way, by providing different materials we are meeting the needs of all of our students. Touching and seeing are two senses that make learning even more engaging.
