My students need books that are on their level and easy to read. Some of these books were my favorites growing up in school and I would love to be able to share them.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a special education teacher that services mostly 3rd and 4th graders. Despite having disabilities, my students show so much tenacity with their learning. Despite how difficult the challenge, my students always push themselves to become better because they know they can do it.
"Every student can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way"-George Evans.
My students have a love for reading and I would love to strengthen that love for reading this year.
My Project
I absolutely love reading. My favorite part of reading is escaping from the world we live in and embrace the imaginative, wonderful world that books provide. I love falling in love with the different characters a story brings, like James and the Giant Peach. I love teaching students the lessons books can teach us, like in My Mouth is a Volcano.
Some of these books could also help me reach my struggling readers and instill in them a love for reading.
I would love to be able to give my students the confidence that reading brings using the My Weird School Series as well as share some of my childhood favorites.
