My students are fun, creative, and have a blast reading and creating stories in Spanish to help them acquire the language! I've found so much joy introducing my students to reading in Spanish this year, and it's time to expand my classroom library to include even more interesting topics and proficiency levels.

I teach students in 5th through 8th grade in a school where they learn Spanish starting in Kindergarten. My students need new ways to explore and enjoy the language and more engaging and comprehensible novels are exactly what we need!
We read and create stories all the time in Spanish class, and I am hoping to be able to bring even more literacy to my students by continuing to build my classroom library of free reading books.
My Project
I started a free choice reading program in my Spanish classes this year to not only encourage my students to become happy readers, but to help aid in their Spanish language acquisition. Now that I've been able to do that, many of my students are begging for even more variety in our library.
Seeing my students enjoy reading in Spanish makes my heart smile and brings so much joy to this proud teacher.
I need these new books for our classroom library so I can spice up the variety of books available. The variety is needed so my students can continue to find enjoyment in our reading time by finding their perfect match in a book: one that is interesting and easy to understand.
