My Students
My students from North Carolina are part of a new sensory lab program that helps students to better manage their emotions, focus in the classroom, and maximize student achievement. My energetic students enter the classroom excited and ready to move, learn, and explore.
They love learning new breathing strategies and ways to help them calm down in times of stress.
These new books will inspire and encourage my students to practice mindfulness, breathing, and yoga in the classroom and in their every day lives.
My Project
The books I have chosen for our Sensory Lab library are all about breathing techniques, mindfulness practices, being in the present moment, and using positive self talk.
These topics are so important to address from an early age because they are powerful tools in easing anxiety and stress and creating more happy, calm, and focused learners.
These are skills that spill over into every bit of a student's life - not just the hours that are spent at school. My students love to read, and stories are a wonderful way to convey important messages such as the ones in these books.
