My Students
My students are an enthusiastic, creative, thoughtful & curious bunch of kindergarteners! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.
In our classroom, I make sure to meet students where they are and to teach using a variety of methods and mediums.
One of my favorite subjects to teach is reading! My students are reading at different levels and finding high quality books for young readers isn't easy!
My Project
Every day I pull small groups of students to work with me on reading strategies and how to understand and decode words and books. Having these sets of different levels of books allows me to individualize my teaching so that I can challenge my students and push them to their full reading potential!
Every student in my class is a reader, they just need the right books and the right guidance to grow!
Many of my students have few to no books at home and I want their hands to touch as many books as possible while they are at school!
