Help me give my students the reading activities they need to strengthen their comprehension skills so they can boost their confidence and become better readers.
My students are comprised of 3rd graders who qualify for Title I services in the area of reading. Many come from low-income families, and my goal is to provide them with the extra support they need in order to succeed in the regular classroom setting.
My students are hard-working and benefit from working in a small group setting where they can receive individualized instruction.
They enjoy working with manipulatives and games that they may not have access to otherwise. Providing them with a variety of materials keeps them engaged and encourages them to enjoy working on their reading skills.
My Project
Reading centers, games, and activities give my students the opportunity to practice their reading and comprehension skills in an engaging and exciting way. It provides a chance for students to learn in a way that suits them best. My students always look forward to using different materials to learn and practice the skills necessary to succeed in the 3rd grade.
Students of all reading abilities will have fun playing games and using the center activities as they improve their reading skills and see their confidence rise.
By having access to more hands-on materials, my students will also be able to work with and encourage each other. The products I have selected cover a range of skills that are important to master and allow me to teach these skills while also having fun with my students.
