Reading Our Way Through 1st

My Project

It has been proven time and time again that Reading is a science. Part of the Science of Reading is teaching students phonics so they can become a skilled reader and not a guesser of words.

Students are naturally playful and combining the science of play with the science of reading will yield wonderful results for the students in my first grade class.

These items will serve to support their reading while also allowing them to play and collaborate with one another.

My goal is to have everyone of my students be a reader by the end of 1st grade and these items will allow us to achieve this.
