My students need mentor text to help guide them to become better authors (writers). We would use the text such as, "What do Authors Do?" to help understand the process of writing.
My students come to school everyday excited about the next adventure we will go on.
My students are growing and learning in the same small, tight knit, school community that inspired me to become a teacher.
They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They are inspirations to themselves and others around them. They are travelers, artist, mathematicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers and they are our future. As their teacher I want to give them a great start to their long successful career.
My Project
The materials purchased will help students dive into writing. These books are great examples for our early readers and writers to explore.
Our Kindergarten students are eager to learn and being writing their stories!
With these books circulating the classroom, students will feel they can be authors too. Students will start by understanding an authors purpose by reading "What Do Author's Do". They will then move to books that only have pictures such as, "Flashlight". These books will help stir the child's imagination to create their own story to write and tell.
Again, our Kindergarten class is excited to tell their stories!
