Reading Opens Eyes to a Whole New World

My students need books, books, and more books in our classroom library in order to continue to grow as readers because reading is the key to all learning.

My Students

I will have an amazing group of second graders this year who will want to devour books. In first grade they really began their journey into reading, and I want to continue to foster that feeling of joy.

These students are inquisitive, excited, caring, and ready to share everything they know and love to anyone who will listen.

There is a huge need to get students to stay on grade level and a huge classroom library will be so helpful!

My Project

This is the moment in a child’s life where reading is an essential part to their school experience. A love of reading should begin when children are young and then continue all through their lives. These book sets will help make that happen.

Every classroom library needs to contain a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books in order to reach the majority, if not all, of the students in the class.

My hope is to give the opportunity to explore different genres to all of my second grade students and let them find their love in my classroom library.
