My Students
We want to read and learn more with technology! Help Spark our Reading with Fire!
The majority of my students come from low, socio-economic backgrounds and 85% of them qualify for free/reduced price school lunch.
My energetic, diverse class of kindergarteners represent a plethora of cultures and linguistic backgrounds. My students are: Latino, Arabic, Vietnamese, Filipino, Nepali, African American, Italian, Filipino/Caucasian/Cambodian, and American Indian/Caucasian.
My Project
With the new Kindle Fires, memory cards, Kidproof cases, and ear buds my students will have the opportunity to read more books at their level. And for my emerging readers, they will be able to listen to audiobooks and follow along with the words as they are listening to a story. And with the magic of technology, my students can listen and read their favorite books as many times as they would like.
The Kindle Fires will give my students more opportunities to read books, have books read to them, and also learn new words, phonics skills, and literacy skills to help them increase their reading fluency and reading comprehension.
My students will be more motivated to read and learn with the addition of these Kindle Fires in our Kindergarten Classroom. Help Spark our Reading with Fire!
