My Students

I teach reading intervention. These are kids that are behind 3 or 4 grade levels. This impacts all areas of school because reading is essential to every subject. These kids just need extra help and someone to take the time to find out what they need and what can help them. I believe creating a comfortable and inviting environment that can help aid in helping them be more open to reading and provide a great place to grow and learn.

My Project

I want an inviting and comfortable place where students feel good about reading. I want them to want to grab their book get comfortable and dive in. This is hard on a teacher budget. I know many people are effected by their environment and if I can help in anyway get them comfortable with reading, I believe it will help them in the long run to become better readers. These students need a place to go that is safe and pleasant so they can focus on what is in their book and not what is going on in the outside world.
