My students need a small sofa and chair in their reading area.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Greetings from the most amazing 5th grade class! I teach Social Studies/English Language Arts and Reading in a wonderful charter school in south Dallas.
Our campus has 95% free and reduced lunches, and most families don't speak English.
These wonderful children are smart, capable, and love to work together. They know they can be successful if given the opportunity. My students love coming to my class every day and never know what fun activities to expect, but are always excited to learn.
My amazing students need a sofa in their reading area. Even the nicest classroom desk chair is not terribly comfortable, so when they get the privilege of reading in the classroom library I believe they should be able to read in comfort, and not just sit on a carpet. A sofa and chair will provide them the seating they need to develop the skills of reading stamina, fluency, accuracy, comprehension and expand their vocabulary.
Children read best when they are comfortable.
Students can lay on the couch, perch, stretch, or find just about any good position to read a book.
