This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many young children do not know how to read music and sing these days. They learned music from listening to someone else's singing or mimicking online resources, such as YouTube videos or other computer generated music sounds.

This project will help my students read music through recorders.

Recently, MHMJ Elementary School received many children from immigrant parents who live with limited resources. The Pandemic era never allowed us to recycle recorders used by former students. This project primarily offer recorders for the children. Through recorders, the children will read musical notes to learn how to read melody. This basic skills will help my students to learn not only to sing any unfamiliar songs, but also to enrich life with vocal music in their future life. The list includes a few other items that have to do with training of reading music. The bins are for storage of the recorders. The folders, sheet protectors, labels, copy paper are for creating music for students to read.
