Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 38 ESL/ENL students that I work with. We are located in the heart of Brooklyn. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and build their English language. Truly, they are my inspiration! They all have different backgrounds. Many of my students live in low-income homes and don't get many opportunities to experience things outside their community. I would love to create a classroom that is inviting and accessible for all students learning.
My Project
These materials will help students learn English. My students deserve the best education in both English and Spanish. This has been a difficult year and many students are learning in environments they are not used to. With these materials, you are allowing those students to build on their English and educational needs. Giving them these materials will help them master the English language and become successful in school for later years. I am asking for these materials to help my students in and out of classroom. Thank you for your help.
