My students come from disadvantaged communities. We do a lot of projects in school but, we do not have many resources for them to learn from. They can't go to the library because they have no one to take them, and they do not have library cards. So, what I would like is to expand our classroom library to give them more resources. I am a special education teacher teaching fourth and fifth graders. All my students get free lunch. They are not exposed to many things so, I would like different materials mostly reading, in order to expand their knowledge. We have a small budget and can't afford a lot of materials in order to help the kids advance to where I would like them to be. We are a small class of 12 students who benefit mostly from hands on materials. Because they are visual learners I would like to expose them more to materials that they can actual see and get a better idea of how things work, in order for them to better understand. They are good kids who are misunderstood, and just need a chance for people to really see how much they can do and how much they really know. Thank you for your generosity, and your help.
