This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I see approximately 65 kindergarten through 5th grade students in my intervention groups everyday. These wonderful and hard-working students are growing as readers and I want to provide then with hands on manipulatives, games and texts to provide them with the best possible instruction during their daily lessons to help them grow as readers. Many of my students are english language learners and all of my students need to develop their phonological skills, the foundational skills of good readers. The storybooks, whiteboard spinners, activity cards, and foam ten-frames that I have requested will engage and enhance student learning.
