Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The school is a Title I school, which means most of my students are not able to come to school with the things they need to be successful in school. The school is located in downtown Detroit and continues to strive to create a school full of students who love to learn by giving students opportunities with after school tutoring and instruction suited to meet the needs of all students. The students love to learn and anyway that I can help make it more fun for them helps to keep them engaged in learning.

My Project

These interactive notebooks will help enhance my students learning by making reading fun. This book will not only help make learning fun for them because it’s interactive it will also help make it something they’ll want to do. When students enjoy what they’re doing it is more likely the concepts learned will be remembered. Hands on activities also enhance the learning for students because they get to be creative. This book can also help prepare them for concepts they need to learn for their state standardized test. Third grade is the first time they start taking the state test so it’s important they’re prepared and ready to take the test.
