Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school's third-graders are comprised of 23 extraordinary students who are eager to learn and love to explore new ideas from different disciplines. Most of them are of Hispanic and African American descent and are classified as low-income-status families. These third graders are always eager to learn and dive into new adventures through reading different books with their reading buddies.
Although they are in difficult circumstances, they come to school with positive learning attitudes to succeed as independent learners.
However, due to their dire economic and social conditions, most of our students still struggle with their academic growth due to a lack of opportunities. Nonetheless, my students love to read. They love to talk about new experiences, new adventures, and discoveries during their reading time. My students will appreciate extra books for them to increase their knowledge even more.
