Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Title I students participate in the Accelerated Reader program. They read books of their choosing and take quizzes to demonstrate understanding of what they've read. Students strive to meet their personal reading goals.
Unfortunately, we have no funding to be able to provide them with amazing rewards for their efforts.
We want them to know that reading has value and it is something to be proud of!
We want to reward the readers who go above and beyond by meeting and exceeding school goals with gift cards for an ice cream treat that is just for them. Students who are in our "Millionaires Club" (who have read over a million words during the school year) will be rewarded with these special treats!
