This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We do not have a library in our school. Most of my students start 2nd grade without the ability to read or write. They need to work very hard to catch up with grade level books and content. Many of them do not have learning resources or school supplies at home; the classroom is their opportunity to explore the joy of reading and learning.
Being able to read and write at higher levels not only improves students' chances of success, but opens unlimited opportunities in life.
My classroom needs a bookcase so I can display books and encourage reading. Imagine seven-year-old children reading by themselves for the first time in their lives and discovering how exciting learning can be...
All my students live in a poverty area in the city. I want to give them the opportunity to experience a beautiful and fascinating world when they come to school. This way, we will be providing all students equal opportunities to learn and thrive. Please help me to offer my students a classroom that every child in the world should have!
