My Project

I teach in an EDB (Emotional and Behavioral Disorders) classroom, a place filled with energy and potential. My students are working hard every day to build emotional regulation skills and positive coping strategies—and one of the powerful tools we've discovered in this journey is READING.

Books do so much more than build literacy skills in our classroom; they calm minds.

They help my students channel their energy in healthy, meaningful ways. When a student is overwhelmed, a good book can be the lifeline that brings them back to a place of focus and peace.

Every book for our class library is more than a story—it’s a tool for self-regulation, a source of joy, and a step toward lifelong learning. Your generosity will directly support children who are learning not just how to read, but how to manage emotions.

My students *love* to read—but right now, we’re in need of fresh, engaging materials that reflect their interests and nurtures their love of stories. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
