My Students

I teach 14-21 year-old young adults with a variety of intellectual and sensory impairments in our high school's Instructional Life Skills Program. We mainly focus on preparing for daily life after high school. Daily instructions include multiple hands-on activities and career and community-based instruction.

My Project

The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding and reading abilities to help them succeed and provide them with ideas to discuss with their peers, family, and friends. The sources that have been chosen, also allows my students to take their materials home to keep them engaged in the learning process. Covid 19 has created a barrier for educators and their instructional abilities. Materials donated can help students stay interested in the subjects being taught. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
