My Project

Teaching early childhood literacy requires a great deal of knowledge and expertise. I have been in the classroom for three years now and am looking for ways to continue my education through independent reading. The books I have selected will help me learn new strategies and skills for teaching young learners about reading and literacy.

I am so excited to get my hands on these texts to help me become a stronger educator and build my effectiveness as I move to a lower grade!

The texts I have chosen focus on topics ranging from the science of reading, bringing joy into the early childhood classroom, and writing in small groups. I have previously taught kindergarten, second, and third grade so I have worked in early childhood classrooms, but there is always more to learn. I hope by having access to these books I can continue my learning journey as an educator and become even stronger in my instruction for my students and my new team.
