Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students I serve are bilingual, bi-literate, motivated individuals. With an eagerness to learn and explore, the students I teach are ready to take on new challenges and projects to enhance their learning career. These students need a print rich environments that supports their learning. In addition, my students are asked to create projects during their winter and spring breaks that help them have hands on experiences with their family.

This project base learning develops their social and developmental skills.

My Project

Students will use these items to collaborate during guided reading, centers and individual projects throughout the school year. The students use a variety of activities that require a variety of tools to help them be successful.

Students use these supplies when they visit their creative writing center to create journals and interactive compositions.

Students also work in teams to establish great communications skills by using chart paper and markers to make their experience interactive and mobile.

Students use other means of learning such as programs online that they use individually and need their own headphones to listen to stories and build their comprehension, fluency and other reading skills to develop a love for learning.
