This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are avid readers, and I love it when they get excited about new books. I try to have books that they enjoy and that match their interests.

By having new graphic novels and books, I can set a spark for reading that will hopefully continue long after they leave my classroom.

Some of my books are very well loved, and others do not really grasp my kids' attention. This project will help me get the book that they want. My class selected books that match their interest and can get them off the computers and into a good book. My goal is always to cultivate a love of reading that they can take well beyond 5th grade. These books can help me do that!
