This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an amazing group of Kindergarteners who are learning how to decode words and read. They are so excited to show off their skills and read to any visitors we have in the classroom.
I would like to continue to build on their excitement of learning to read by using some fun tools in my small skills groups.
Items such as special pointers, word mapping trays, and magnetic blending chips will help continue to build engagement while my little ones continue to build their reading skills.
We all know that children learn best when they are motivated and having fun. The toolkits and resources I am requesting for my classroom will help my students have fun while making sure they continue to learn the skills necessary to become lifelong readers.
