Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students that I teach are students with special needs that have learning disabilities in reading, math and written expression. What I love about teaching children that face challenges in the regular education system is being able to create different activities and lessons to meet the needs of student. I get to provide direction instruction and build personal relationships with students to help encourage academic progress. As educator I know for a fact that reading is fundamental and math is essential in helping each student to secure a positive future after graduating from high school.

My Project

The items identify in this project will help me assist my students with reading and math. I will be able to provide interactive lessons with direct instruction. These items will help me get students involved with their learning. It can help me create lessons that are personally designed to meet the needs of the student. I can provide concrete examples with a Wacom board and pen. The E-reader can be used for one-on-one instruction in reading. All the listed items will be used to help students that need extra help.
