My students are amazing learners who just happen to need a little extra help in reading, writing, and math! They are eager to learn but need a little push every now and then.
My students are not defined by their disabilities.
Their disabilities make them unique, strong, and brave. They are hard workers and truly want to work to the best of their abilities. I work with all of my students each day to ensure they are seeing success in the classroom!
My Project
Most of my students are struggling readers. Many are still working on learning basic phonics skills. The leveled readers in this project will allow my students to practice their reading skills each day. My students get discouraged very easily, especially when reading becomes difficult for them. By having these books in my classroom, I hope to encourage them to read more and read just for fun!
These leveled readers will allow my students to feel successful as they read passages that are on their individual level.
Research shows that daily reading is essential to helping kids grow as readers and writers. This project is one way I hope to encourage my students to read daily and read more!
