This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"The whole world opened to me when I learned to read."- Mary McLeod Bethune. We're ready to explore this fascinating world we live in!
My students are entering the first grade!
Like any six and seven year old, they are eager to learn about the world around them! They are spunky and full of character and they make sure everyday in the classroom is an interesting one with all of their wonderful stories and love for learning. They are a diverse group of learners and readers which helps us learn from each other all of the time. We can't wait for the new school year to begin!
My Project
The leveled reading library requested can help mold our children into readers. Think back to when you first learned to read or when your young ones picked up their first book, we searched for books that were interesting, exciting and books that we could run to an important person in our lives and show them that we LEARNED how to read! What an exciting day that was! Our students are craving that same excitement about reading and can't wait to pick up their first book that they love and learned to read! Please be a part of their first step in reading and journey through a life surrounded by wonderful literature that opens up the world around them.
With your donation you can change their reading lives.
Think about every time you pick up a new book to read and how happy you are buying it and just can't wait to take it home and open it up, that's the reaction our students will have with all of these wonderful new books! Thank you for your consideration and hopefully your future donation!
