This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students do not have a variety of books to choose from during silent reading , guided reading, and AR.

My students are caring and creative students.

They enjoy reading and exploring new ideas. Most students come from single parent homes and the only opportunity they get to read books are at school. The school is located in a rural area in Central Mississippi.

My Project

The classroom library I am requesting would change my students' lives by inspiring them to continue to have a love for reading and learning. Activities I can do with a classroom library are read alouds, guided reading, think-pair-share, vocabulary lessons, story elements, etc. The list can go on forever

My students are in great need for additional books for our class library.

It will give my students the opportunity to read more and for their imagination to grow. Reading changes lives forever.
