Opening a book is like opening a door to a whole new life. Students face many challenges.
I want to create a library with a wide range of books that spark their interest.
With the decoding books from Orton Gillingham, I can teach and reinforce the rules of the English language. The Lakeshore and Scholastic First Little Readers books are short which provides opportunities for repeated reading which over time builds fluency. My students are special because they take on the responsibility for their academic performance and have a mindset of wanting to do better.
