This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are bright, creative and full of questions. When they are on task they put a lot of effort into their work. Many love to read books, write stories and draw. My classroom library is an essential resource for my students. Many of my students do not have access to books at home and rely on my classroom library to check out high-quality books. They are always up for a challenge. Each student has their own unique personality which makes up a very busy and diverse classroom. They come to school each day ready to try learn and try new things.

My Project

My students and I will be thrilled to read these brand new novels. We will not have to worry about taping the pages back together again when they fall out. Just the thought of fresh, brand new books for my students is very exciting. These books will allow students to explore various types of literature and encourage students to make connections to their personal lives and explore new worlds. The book Sign of the Beaver is part of our curriculum and I use these books as a part of my everyday read-aloud instruction. Thank for you taking the time to help our classroom.
