My students need resource books and manipulatives such as crayons, border trim, and posters to help them with reading comprehension. I want my students to ROCK the MEAP!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students really need resources to help them learn what they are reading and why it is important to understand what they are reading.
My students are intelligent and creative kids that like to learn and have fun at the same time.
I want my kids to continue to be kids in and outside of the classroom but I also want them to be successful citizens. My students attend a non-traditional school that focuses a lot on technology and other manipulatives that are essential to teaching today's students.
My Project
The posters, crayons, and literary elements book sets will change my students' lives because they will learn that there are different ways to learn and it is sometimes fun! I will be able to use the technology that I have available in my classroom, along with the reading comprehension manipulatives, so that they can learn how to identify main ideas, plot, and other literary elements.
With the donation of these materials, my students will be able to make their own linear plotlines, as it relates to our novels and display them. The books will certainly assist me in teaching the concepts to my students. The posters will give my students visuals to refer to when needed. These posters will help my students learn how to apply literary concepts to the material that we cover in class.
Donors, your contributions will make a difference because your donations will allow my students to begin to experience that 21st century learning that they lack.
These resources that I am ordering will provide them with that.
