This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are culturally diverse that attends a title 1 school. These students are in need of additional reading materials that would be beneficial to understanding the different cultures within their environment/community and around the world. These books would help the students to travel through reading enjoying and experiencing different adventures.
Reading books can take you on a journey where you can experience the world and learn about others introducing children to the wonderful insight of possibilities.
Reading is essential and we want to introduce our scholars to different genres.
My Project
Reading is essential in helping the students to enter a world where they will learn about various communities and cultures, as they travel through books. Introducing books that students can relate to helps promote reading.
The students will have the opportunity to read various genres that they will find stimulating, informative, is grade level and vocabulary appropriate.
Being able to give the students an opportunity to enjoy reading and develop the love for words as well as building their understanding is one of the keys towards being a good reader.
