I have the sweetest group of 14 Kindergarten students. Despite the majority of my class living in poverty and having tough home lives, my students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. Due to Covid 19, our school is closed.
We are readers in my classroom, and we understand that books can take us anywhere in the world.
I do not want this to change for my students. I want to maintain students love for reading and will do everything I can to get books in their hands.

My Project
These books will allow my Kindergarten students to continue their love for learning and reading.
These books will allow students to learn new things, go to new places, explore, feel a range of emotions, and best of all, will provide HOPE.
We all need to have hope during this difficult time of not being able to attend school. Our safe learning place is closed, but LEARNING CANNOT BE CANCELLED.
My students deserve to have access to books every single day, just as if they were in the classroom.
