This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Literacy has become part of our afterschool program and a daily routine for students. Students have really engaged in books sets like "The Diary of a Wimpy Kid". Right now we only have one set and it has become really popular with our 3rd-5th graders. I would love for our students to have more reading options with book sets that will engage our students and spark an interest in reading.

Our goal as a campus and district is to increase reading and I believe that it starts with a good book!

These books will definitely inspire students to keep reading and expand their minds.
