Reading is Awesome!

Help me give my students the love of reading. The I Can Read books and books about diversity help open the world around my students and allow them to explore topics that they did not know existed.

My Project

I plan to use the books to help my students with beginning reading skills and to build upon their fluency skills. I have selected a variety of books to engage all of my students. The books about diversity will help my students understand that their experiences matter and when they see themselves or representations of themselves in books it builds interest in reading.

The science books will support our STEM and science curriculum.

Learning about weather and patterns will reinforce the standards that we are learning about in our science lessons.

The students get so excited when new books are brought into the classroom. Books ignite a passion for reading and learning.
