My Project
I work with students spanning first through fifth grade. These students come from a wide range of cultural and economic backgrounds, and they all have different experiences when it comes to learning to read. In my small groups, what brings us together is the excitement and accomplishment of learning to read! I believe each child I work with can achieve high literacy, no matter their background or experience!
The sound kits requested in this project will provide a great resource for students learning literacy.
We work on phonics skills in all of my small groups. These Soaring Sounds phonics kits will provide an organized way for students to access sound tiles and writing and spelling materials. Because of the wide range of sound tiles available, I can use these with students at all skill levels.
