The read alouds that I am requesting will consistently be used in my classroom. They will help expose children to rich and varied language. Hearing a wide range of words and language patterns helps children develop their own language skills, expanding their vocabulary and improving their comprehension abilities. They also help expose children to diverse cultures, experiences, and perspectives. Through stories, students learn about different people, places, and traditions, which helps broaden their worldview and develop their social skills.
