Help me give my students supplies to make growth in reading intervention! Some of these include reading activities and manipulatives, highlighters, and furniture for the classroom.
I have worked with students at this elementary school for the past three years. These kids are some of the sweetest, most hard-working, and loving kids that I have ever met. They are so deserving of the best education.
Next school year, I have the privilege of taking on a new role as a reading interventionist at my school.
In this role, I will be able to work with small groups of students in multiple grade levels to close gaps in reading delays.
I am requesting reading activities and manipulatives, highlighters, and furniture for the classroom. These materials will help me give the most beneficial small-group reading instruction. For example, erasable highlighters are wonderful for learning new spelling patterns. Students are able to highlight words that include the spelling pattern. If a mistake is made, they are able to erase it and try again. Students find this so fun to do! It is my goal to help students make gains in reading and get to grade-level reading expectations. Other things included in the project include furniture and a rug to make the environment a cozy space for students to learn.
