This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are creative and eager fast paced learners. They originate from diverse backgrounds and present differing activity levels. They will benefit from hands on activities that require them to use many different learning modalities. Many students report that they do not have tablets or computers at home. Many parents also report they have limited resources to provide their children with basic school supplies. They love to learn and are excited to meet new challenges in a classroom that integrates technology!
My Project
These materials will help my students with reading comprehension and fluency. The dry erase pocket charts also help students with engagement and give them an opportunity to practice skills in a different way. Students like to have a variety of reading materials that are applicable to their reading levels as well as their different interests.
These materials were chosen to meet their varied Lexile levels and student interest surveys.
This will help my class develop and maintain a love for reading throughout their lives. Thank you for supporting teachers and public school education. It is truly a worth cause in today's society!
