My Students
My students are so creative, funny, and full of personality. They come to school every morning excited about learning and anxious to see what they get to do. They try their best and are eager to show what they know. So many of them will even complete extra work on their own at home just for fun! It really makes me proud that my students are taking charge of their own learning at such a young age. We have so much fun together and they make me smile every day!
My Project
This project mostly contains books written in English that have a matching book translated into Spanish. A lot of the families of the students in my district speak Spanish and English. However, there are a lot of family members who read most comfortably in Spanish only. This presents a challenge to my students and their families when the books they take home are only written in English. This project provides my students and their families with the opportunity to read together by sending home an English book with a matching book translated into Spanish. This will help make reading at home even more fun!
