My Students
Extracurricular activities enhance and enrich our students. This year is our first year having a Step Team. Our Step Team is made up of girls and boys from third to fifth grade. They have been competing in local competitions and performing for community functions. This group of talented students has worked hard, but it is hard without the funds to support them in other awesome opportunities. These steppers come from many different backgrounds and cultures but share what they have.
My Project
The high-interest intervention reading folders will allow students who are having difficulty in reading to become successful and enjoy reading again. These folders have passages that are written at a level that ensures reading success among even the most reluctant readers! The 5-minute vocabulary cards will allow students to get focused practicing with using context clues, defining idioms, identifying synonyms and antonyms.
Reading is that thing that you either love to do or have a hard time with.
My students need activities that will bring the fun and joy to reading and the attention they need to get reading every day and all day.
