My Project

We are fortunate to have the first 32 books of the Magic Tree House series; but reading through those books has left us wanting to read more! The students are highly engaged in reading these beginning chapter books. This helps them to practice and strengthen their reading skills! These books will be used for whole group read alouds, small group instruction, partner reading, and independent reading.

The first graders are so drawn into the fantasy brought to them through the Magic Tree House books; it keeps them wanting to read more!

The students are highly encouraged to read at home; many studnets choose the Magic Tree House books to read at home. They receive stickers as an incentive to reading at home. They are growing their reading brains by also reading at home! When they come to school, they staple their current reading log to their previous reading logs so they can keep track of earning their sticker incentives!

With the generous donation of these books, stickers, and staplers, the first graders are sure to soar with their reading skills!
